We are delighted to be able to share details of a prize draw to win a house with our supporters, after Sligo woman Claire Waldron generously offered 5% of the ticket revenue as a donation to the ISPCA. The fully furnished, three-bed house is located in Magheraboy, Co. Sligo.
Earlier this year, Claire began to sell tickets at £9 (approximately €10.45) for a prize draw to win her entire house with the hopes that all 30,000 tickets will be sold by October 2021. The semi-detached property has new furniture, a new kitchen and has quite a large garden for the lucky winner. Claire will also give €5,000 for the winner to spend however they want on their new abode.
ISPCA Head of Fundraising Lylah O’Beirne said: “With so many community fundraising and public events still not able to take place, generous donations from kind-hearted animal lovers like Claire are critical to ensuring our services can continue. As lockdowns ease, the ISPCA expect many more vulnerable animals will need to be rescued and cared for at our centres and for a longer period of time. This means that our vital services are dangerously stretched at a time when many of our fundraising activities remain cancelled or postponed”.
