Nola has a new best friend in Jacob

"Nola was absolutely the dog we needed"

Nola was adopted earlier this year from the ISPCA and recently turned 1! Her family sent us the most lovely update for this Happy Tail below:

“I am writing to give an update on Nola, our adopted Rhodesian Ridgeback, that we adopted from the ISPCA in Jan21. According to her papers, Nola turned 1, at the start of the month, so I thought it would be fitting to provide an update on her birthday. Nola joined our family, after the loss of our much-loved GSD  Casie. We had adopted Casie from the ISPCA, therefore when we were looking for our new family addition, we knew exactly where we needed to go!

Nola was absolutely the dog we needed. She is a very lively pup, who loves playing, her walks, giving cuddles, and kisses. However, she also likes downtime in the evening to relax and recoup, which fits our family perfectly. She immediately bonded with our 2-year-old little boy Jacob and is very protective of him. She is a very vocal dog and just like the rest of our family, Jacob can do no wrong in her eyes. So, if he is being bold and we have to correct him, Nola makes it well known that she doesn’t appreciate us telling him off! She follows him around constantly, when we go on walks, she wants to be right beside the stroller. He cannot go too far without her. If he cries for anything she will comfort him and will let us know he is upset.

Nola is a very sensitive dog, if you are upset, she will offer a cuddle and kiss and a reassuring paw on the knee. She is the perfect work colleague also, she is sure to let me know to take a break, as she needs her lunchtime walk in the park! She is a very special dog. Nola has become such an important member of the family.  She was the exact pup we needed after the loss of Casie and we are all excited for our family adventures

Thank you for allowing us to adopt her, I’ve attached a few photos of our beautiful girl.”
