The ISPCA was delighted to welcome an amazing 56 KPMG employees to our National Animal Centre in Longford recently.

Despite the weather challenges on the day, their dedication, enthusiasm and hard work made such a significant impact at the National Animal Centre.  We were overwhelmed at KPMG’s willingness and commitment to help, and not even a little rain was an obstacle as they completed a large number of projects from the memorial garden clean up and planting, driveway tidy up, to providing plenty of dog grooming and walks for so many of our rescued dogs and puppies, will have a lasting effect.

ISPCA Head of the Centre, Laura Millward said: “We often struggle with jobs such as maintenance and deep cleaning when our Centres are full of animals due to a lack of resources and funding for materials. Corporate volunteering days can really help us, and it is a brilliant way to support our vital work, helping us to maintain the Centre and of course all the animals benefit the most as they get lots of extra love and attention”.

ISPCA CEO, Dr Cyril Sullivan said: “Our partnership with KPMG shows an amazing commitment from all of the team who made such an impression on the day. It really was all hands-on-deck, and no job was too dirty or cumbersome despite the weather.  The transformation around the Centre was incredible with so many jobs from indoor painting, digging, planting, weeding, cleaning and sweeping, and the best part, there was lots of dogs getting so many walks and cats and horses getting groomed too”.

The ISPCA is extremely grateful to the entire KPMG team and we look forward to developing our partnership for many years to come.

There are so many ways to support the ISPCA, from corporate partnerships to organising fundraising events to volunteering. More and more employers are offering staff corporate volunteering days, whereby employees can support a charity close to their hearts for a day without taking annual leave.

The benefits are immense, and not only will you be supporting a worthy cause like the ISPCA, but they are also a fun and rewarding day out for employees. It is also a great team building opportunity, staff are learning new skills plus there is also a great sense of achievement.

Whether you have worked with a charity before or not, there’s a volunteer role for everyone to get involved at the ISPCA.
