Tips to get your fundraising started

If you are new to fundraising, we know it can be difficult to get started, please see some tips below to help get things moving!

Tip 1
Go Online

Set up your own fundraising page and share with family, friends and colleagues. This will help you reach your target and keep your supporters up to date with everything you are doing. There are lots of great online donation platforms that are easy to set-up, use, and share and will help you create a successful fundraising event for any cause you feel passionate about.

Tip 2
Be First

The first donation can be the hardest to get – so why not make it yourself?

Tip 3
Focus On Closest

Invite all your friends and family to get involved too – send them a Text, WhatsApp or Facebook Message. Now pick a couple of work colleagues you are friendly with and send them an email.

Tip 4
Social Shares

If you use social media, do make sure to share a link to your online fundraising page on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and even Snapchat.  A picture will always help!

Tip 5
Work It

Some companies will match employees’ charitable donations – do make sure to check!

Tip 6
It's Not Over When It's Over

More than 20% of donations come in the days and weeks after your fundraising activity or event has taken place, so do keep fundraising for a little bit even after. Share more pictures after the event.
