Celebrate World Animal Week 1st - 7th October

World Animal Week is an annual event celebrated around the feast day (4th October) of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.

*COMPETITION HAS CLOSED AND A WINNER HAS BEEN CHOSEN*

The ISPCA is asking animal lovers to join in and celebrate World Animal Day on 4th October, an international day of action, to help raise awareness for improved animal welfare across the globe, on the feast day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.

We are delighted to team up with our friends in Lough Rynn Castle Estate and Gardens, who kindly donated an amazing prize for one of our lucky Facebook followers.  We’re asking pet lover’s across Ireland to share a photo of their adorable pooch, purrfect kitty, gorgeous pony, horse or donkey, little bunny, or any other pet(s) on one of our Facebook pages, anytime during World Animal Week to be in with a chance to win this adorable prize.

All you have to do to enter is:

  1. Share a photo of your adorable pet(s) by posting it on one of the ISPCA Facebook Pages:  https://www.facebook.com/irish.spca, https://www.facebook.com/IspcaDonegal, or  https://www.facebook.com/ISPCAMallow
  2. Like, share and tag a friend.
  3. Entries close at midnight on 7th October 2021.
  4. We’ll announce the winner on our website on 11th October 2021.
  5. The prize is available to residents of the Republic of Ireland. Terms & Conditions Apply. Click here for full details.

Huge thanks to the Lough Rynn Castle for donating this generous prize to support our vital work.

Lough Rynn is one of Ireland’s most luxurious castle hotels, steeped in history, charm and beauty and we can’t think of a better place to enjoy a night away.

There is no better time to appreciate just how much love and joy our pets bring to our lives than during World Animal Week (1st – 7th October)

Did you know that it takes an average of 54 days for a rescued animal to recover from cruelty, neglect or abuse, needing a lot of care and expensive veterinary treatment? You can support the ISPCA in so many ways like sharing our rescue stories, rehoming an animal, signing up to our newsletter, or by making a kind donation to help the many rescued animals in our care or by simply giving your pet(s) some extra love and attention.

PS. The ISPCA is also asking pet owners to be responsible by ensuring their pet’s welfare needs are met, and that they are neutered/spayed and micro-chipped.
