Join the ISPCA #HappyTails School Team

We’re inviting schools across Ireland to join team ISPCA in the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon

What’s this all about?

The VHI Women’s Mini Marathon is happening on 1st June, and we’re inviting schools across Ireland to take part by joining the ISPCA #HappyTails Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young women aged 14 and up to:

Get active together

Support animal welfare in a real and meaningful way

Build teamwork, confidence, and compassion

Take part in something that can count towards the Gaisce Award in Physical Recreation

Represent your school in a fun and uplifting way!

Whether students take part in Dublin or join in virtually from your local area, your school will be part of a nationwide team walking and running to help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals.

School Fundraising Options

You can take part as a class, a year group, or a whole-school team.
Students can register individually but fundraise together as a school group! We’re happy to provide:

A custom school fundraising page

Posters, tips and ideas to help with bake sales, sponsored events, or themed days

Guidance on running a friendly competition between classes to see who can raise the most

Support materials for TY, CSPE, and Wellbeing links

Free Animal Welfare Awareness Talks

As a thank-you for taking part, your school will be offered a free Animal Welfare Awareness Talk, either in person or online (depending on location and availability).

These sessions are:

Age-appropriate and tailored to your students

Designed to encourage empathy and responsibility

Delivered by our expert ISPCA Education Team

You or your students can go directly to the VHI Mini Marathon website: Vhi Womens Mini Marathon. When registering, remember to select the ISPCA as the chosen charity and we will get in touch at that point.
