Olivia was first rescued with a case of sarcoptic mange. After being rehabilitated in our Waterford centre, there was sadly no luck in finding her a home. She moved to the NAC to be more central where she became our reception dog, greeting all visitors to the centre and napping in between under the desk.
Here is how Olivia is getting on at her Forever Home:
“We have by now got into a good routine and I don’t think she likes to deviate from that 😂 and has completely taken over the couch!
She has taken to sleeping in our bedroom at night (every now and again jumping onto the bed) and enjoys a good sleep in, then a bowl of steamed chicken breast. We walk around 10am, down the Naas Canal which she seems to love, at her pace spending lots of time sniffing everything she possibly can.
Then it’s onto the couch for the rest of the day and then a short late afternoon walk and evening walk. She loves treats and going in the car.
Everyone we see always comments on how beautiful she is and how calm she is. She has had about 10 teeth out and is now on medicine for her arthritis.
She definitely has a soft spot for my husband for cuddles and scratches (and treats). She is so easy going and a pleasure in our lives, and we are so glad we adopted her ❤️❤️❤️”
