Mitzy's journey to trust

Today's Happy Tail is from Terri who adopted Mitzy (previously known as Bitzy)

Here is how Mitzy is getting on at her Forever Home:

“This is Mitzi, assuming the position for a tummy rub. She was called Bitzy by you. We decided, however, to rename her Mitzi after Mitzi Gaynor another glamorous lady. We thought that this befitted her beautiful looks better! She’s been with us nearly a year now, and while progress has been slow, every little step forward with our darling girl is a victory. It seems she had very little experience of what a loving home should feel like, and hadn’t known humans she could fully trust—until now.

Gaining her trust has been a rewarding journey. She decided to accept my husband first and is now allowing me into her orbit. She loves her cuddles and walks. We walk her in the local parks and out in the countryside as she’s still too shy for busy streets, but we’re taking things at her pace.

We love her dearly. She’s a gentle soul and we’re so glad to have her in our lives.”

We would like to give a huge thank you to Terri for sending us this lovely update on how Mitzy is getting on!
