Miraculous survival of eight tiny puppies found in cement bag, now living their best lives

You might remember when Senior Inspector Alice Lacey responded to an urgent call for help, about several new-born puppies found inside a white cement bag on a forest walk by a hiker with her children. Read the full rescue story here: https://ispca.ie/miracle_survival_of_eight_tiny_puppies/

The puppies were rushed to a local vet within the hour. Their tiny freezing bodies still had their umbilical cords partially attached, so they could only have been a few days old, when cruelly left to die.

A miracle, which could not have happened without that kind-hearted woman who found them and the wonderful team at City Vets in Waterford – all eight pups made it through the first critical 48 hours. They thrived in pairs under the loving care of ISPCA Donegal, KWWSPCA, Carlow SPCA, our Inspectors and kind foster homes who also helped so huge thanks to everyone involved. It’s heart-warming when we receive updates from our adopters to see how the animals we rescue are thriving with their new families, living their best lives, so loved and cared for.  Thank you!

When you support to the ISPCA you are enabling our Animal Welfare Inspectors to continue rescuing the animals in need and helping to keep our Rescue Centres open 365 days of the year.

If you can, please continue to support our work and be a miracle for animals in need https://ispca.ie/donations/
