Luna-Charm a lucky charm for her forever family

Today's Happy Tail is from Cait who adopted Luna-Charm back in 2022.

Here is how Luna-Charm is getting on at her Forever Home:

“I adopted Luna-Charm in June 2022 from the ISPCA Donegal Animal Rehabilitation Centre. Luna-Charm was a special case because she had suffered a serious injury to her front paw (prior to her adoption), which meant that she required surgery to have her paw amputated.

Thanks to the kindness, dedication and support of the staff at the ISPCA, Luna-Charm recovered well from her surgery and she quickly started to adjust to her new life.

Despite the traumatic and difficult event early in her life, Luna-Charm has shown great strength and resilience. She pushed through suffering and the difficult times to leap forwards into this happy time in her life.

Luna-Charm is simply inspirational because, as an amputee, she has adapted very well to her new life indoors and she has never let her disability stop her from having lots of fun! Her moto is “carpe diem” because she starts each day with great positivity and boundless energy.

Only a few basic and simple adjustments (for example raised feeding bowls, comfortable landing pads and a couple of strategically placed stools) were needed at home to help support Luna-Charm and her disability.

Luna-Charm is a bright, resourceful and fun little girl who spreads joy and love wherever she goes. When she goes on visits to her relatives, her stay is usually extended for much longer than expected because she is so affectionate towards people. Everyone wants Luna-Charm to stay just “a wee bit longer” during her visits because they enjoy her lovely company so much.

Luna-Charm’s favourite past-times are snuggling under the duvet and bird watching from the window. She also enjoys a special and tasty meal as a treat on the weekend but that is her secret! “

We would like to give a huge thank you to Cait for sending us this lovely update on how Luna Charm is getting on!
