By participating on behalf of the ISPCA, you will be supporting rescue and rehabilitation efforts, veterinary care and a better life for countless animals all over Ireland. Every step you take brings us closer to a world where every animal is safe and loved.
ISPCA Ambassador Holly White, presenter and author, along with our very own Senior ISPCA Inspector, Alice Lacey will be leading the #HappyTails team on 1st June, and will be running with purpose, to help our furry friends in need of a second chance of a happy new life.
Holly said: “Sadly here in Ireland many animals are subjected to incredible cruelty and the ISPCA are campaigning to rescue, re-home, educate and advocate for changes in legislation and prosecution for those who inflict pain on our most vulnerable friends. As a fellow animal lover, I am encouraging you to join me in supporting team ISPCA on 1st June, to help raise funds so they can continue their vital work campaigning and using their voices for those who have none”.
Holly added: “The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon is a 10k road race, but it’s more than just a race. It’s about women coming together – lifting each other up proving that when we unite, we can do incredible things. And together, we can change the lives of animals who have no one else to fight for them. Will you join me this June Bank Holiday to walk, run or jog with a purpose? Every step we take is a step towards rescue, healing, and love and when we stand together – as compassionate, loving, and determined women – hope always wins”.
ISPCA Senior Inspector Alice Lacey said: “I have been taking part in the women’s mini marathon for the last eight years now as I’ve seen first-hand the incredible difference we make when we rescue countless animals from appalling situations of cruelty and neglect. Every step I take on Sunday 1st of June is for them — the ones we’ve saved, the ones still waiting for their second chance, and those who will need us in the future. Join me and the ISPCA’s #HappyTails team this year and help make a real difference for the animals who need us the most”.
The event takes place every June Bank Holiday weekend in Dublin City Centre. It is the largest women’s event of its kind in the world and the Women’s Mini Marathon mission is to organise a world-class event in a safe environment and enable participants to raise much-needed funds for charities. Every step taken for the ISPCA means more animals rescued, more lives saved, and more happy tails and second chances.
