Here is how Sadie and Mitch are getting on:
“We called to the NAC in Longford in April with the intention of giving a little collie called Lady a home. It didn’t start well as Lady was so timid and shy and really dependent on her brother Mitch who was far braver and outgoing. She just hung back and didn’t want to be touched. Well, we couldn’t split them up so we ended up bringing the two of them home.
The first three weeks were spent under the hedge in the garden. I had to crawl in to feed Lady, while Mitch sat keeping on eye on me, and the leftovers.
We were resigned to the fact, that the best we could hope for with our new buddies would be a short walk in the fields.
Roll on seven months and a lot of love and attention and we have two different dogs. Lady, who is now called Sadie or Sadie Lady has really come out of her shell. Full of confidence and adventure, she is now the more chilled of the two and a right little devil. Mitch is so obedient and always trying to please and just wants to be given attention and hugs.
They are really good on their walks and come back when I whistle. They love other dogs, people and trips to the woods and the hills. We are so happy that they have settled in and are happy. Thanks to Laura and everyone in Longford for all their help”
We would like to give a huge thank you to Patricia for giving us this lovely update on how Sadie and Mitch are getting on!
