About Xena

Live with another dog: Pending successful meet & greet, likes other dogs

Live with a cat: Pending cat test

Live with children: 10+

Xena is a sweet 3-year-old Staffie. She can be slightly nervous of strangers, so will need someone who can give her patience and go slow with her. She very quickly becomes your best friend! This shy girl has a heart full of love, and with time, she’s sure to blossom into the loyal companion she’s meant to be.

Xena gets along wonderfully with other dogs, so a canine companion would be ideal to help her feel more confident and settled. Due to the overwhelming nature of shelter life, Xena would thrive in a quiet home where she can decompress, build trust, and learn that the world isn’t so scary after all.

She’s looking for a home that will give her the time, space, and gentle encouragement she needs to flourish.

Could you be the one to help Xena feel safe and loved?

Xena is currently in the care of NSPCA Longford

The Process

The adoption process at the ISPCA is designed to ensure the best possible match between animals and their prospective adopters.

Step One
Contact us

Contact the member society or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can complete an application form online, directly from the animal page.

Step Two
Get all the info

The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

Step Three
Meet him/her

Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.

Step Four
Show us around

A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen.

Step Five
Welcome your new best friend

When all the paperwork and checks are complete – you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
