About Poppy

Poppy is an energetic young dog who is guaranteed to bring someone a lifetime of laughs. She loves nothing more than playing with her ball and has a fun, quirky personality. She enjoys swimming, fetch and cuddling. She would be an ideal dog for someone who enjoys activities such as walking, hiking, biking, swimming and other outdoorsy, adventurous activities. She is a loyal companion who really enjoys human company and despite being high energy is quite gentle.

She is happy to meet, sniff and have supervised play with other dogs however she would prefer to live in a home as an only pet as she does tire of doggy company. She has great recall on a long lead and will respond to anything that squeaks. She will be with us 2 years this coming July and is another long term resident we would love to see in her forever home!

She will need a secured garden where she can work out some energy and play ball and her family will need to be aware of the legal restrictions on the breed.

If you think Poppy could be the perfect Pooch for you please fill in an application form https://ispca.ie/adoptions/, call 0879950458 or email [email protected] for more information!

The Process

The adoption process at the ISPCA is designed to ensure the best possible match between animals and their prospective adopters.

Step One
Contact us

Contact the member society or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can complete an application form online, directly from the animal page.

Step Two
Get all the info

The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

Step Three
Meet him/her

Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.

Step Four
Show us around

A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen.

Step Five
Welcome your new best friend

When all the paperwork and checks are complete – you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
