About Peggy-Sue

Peggy is a soft hearted, gentle girl who has clearly had a tough time in her past. Peggy was found as a stray and was clipped by a car when running scared on the road. Thankfully no injuries were sustained. Peggy Sue was incredibly nervous at first, wouldn’t walk or leave her kennel and would wet herself when touched. However, with a little bit of TLC, she is already showing a whole new side to her. She has started walking on lead, she loves getting pets and giving paw and is showing potential to be the confident pup we know she can be.

She has been excellent for her vet checks and being handled by staff even in the most stressful situations. She is young and still at a wonderful age to learn and adapt. She has a cheeky side that is starting to emerge that is sure to bring many laughs. Peggy Sue went out on foster and it was learned that she can be very wary of teenage boys which could come from her past history so we think she would do better in an adult only home. The right family will have the best pet with Peggy Sue, if you think that’s you – fill in the application..

Peggy-Sue is currently in the care of NSPCA Longford

The Process

The adoption process at the ISPCA is designed to ensure the best possible match between animals and their prospective adopters.

Step One
Contact us

Contact the member society or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can complete an application form online, directly from the animal page.

Step Two
Get all the info

The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

Step Three
Meet him/her

Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.

Step Four
Show us around

A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen.

Step Five
Welcome your new best friend

When all the paperwork and checks are complete – you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
