About Oakley

Oakley is a lovely 3 year old lurcher with a nice and calm personality. He enjoys meeting other dogs but tends to play a bit boisterously so a smaller dog might not be too comfortable playing with him. He is fabulous to walk on the lead and is always happy to be taken off for a jaunt. Typically lurchers don’t require too much exercise but love a good couch! He is friendly to all he meets and seems to be a kind soul who’ll make a lovely family pet. We don’t recommend him to a house with a resident cat and a successful pre-adoption meet and greet with any resident dog/s is essential.

Oakley has been neutered, is microchipped 972274200626971, has been vaccinated and has received the usual preventative flea/worm treatments.

The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

Meet him/her

Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.

Step Four

Show us around

A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen.

Step Five

Welcome your new best friend

When all the paperwork and checks are complete – you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
