About Mosie

Mosie is a sweet, female Shih Tzu Cross who is 4 years of age. A gentle little thing, who is just as happy to laze around the house as she is to play and run around a garden, Mosie is gentle with young children and wags her tail happily when they approach. Mosie is house-trained, travels well by car, is good around the house and enjoys being groomed. Her current negative is her reaction to other dogs which has increased to such a state that a Dog Trainer and Behaviourist was recruited. She has responded very well to this training, which she seems to enjoy, but it needs to be continued consistently by a new confident owner with no other dogs in her new home. Mosie is not yet ready to be around other dogs or even meet them on her walks so a non-urban environment would be the most suitable for her. She really is a gorgeous girl who just seems to have this fear of other dogs at the moment.

Mosie has been spayed, is microchipped 981020002000391, has been vaccinated and has received the usual preventative flea/worm treatments.

Mosie is currently in the care of Kildare and West Wicklow SPCA

The Process

The adoption process at the ISPCA is designed to ensure the best possible match between animals and their prospective adopters.

Step One
Contact us

Contact the member society or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can complete an application form online, directly from the animal page.

Step Two
Get all the info

The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

Step Three
Meet him/her

Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.

Step Four
Show us around

A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen.

Step Five
Welcome your new best friend

When all the paperwork and checks are complete – you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
