About Jimmy

Jimmy is a young lurcher full of joy and a bouncy personality. He is great with a friend and loves his zoomies. Jimmy is incredibly affectionate with people and will always be excited to greet you when you come through the door. He will need a secured garden and a no-cat home. He would be an ideal family dog especially for those used to larger breeds. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. He has been in ISPCA care since March 2022 and is desperate to find his forever home. He is our longest resident, joint with Jenny!

He has spent just under two weeks recently in foster where he was wonderful with the family. He loved the sofa but did not like being left alone. He would prefer a home where he has a doggy companion (pending a successful meet and greet) or would not be left alone often.

If this beautiful boy is the one for you, you can complete an application form with this link, https://ispca.ie/adoptions/ if you have any questions relating to adoption of dogs or wish to arrange an appointment to meet them, please call us on 087 995 0458 alternatively email [email protected]. More photos/videos are available on request.

Your new best friend could be waiting.

The Process

The adoption process at the ISPCA is designed to ensure the best possible match between animals and their prospective adopters.

Step One
Contact us

Contact the member society or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can complete an application form online, directly from the animal page.

Step Two
Get all the info

The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

Step Three
Meet him/her

Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.

Step Four
Show us around

A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen.

Step Five
Welcome your new best friend

When all the paperwork and checks are complete – you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
