About Dora

This lovely 1 year old, medium-sized lurcher cross is a very friendly girl who just loves to meet everyone with a waggly tail. She thrives in company but is also quite happy in her own company too. Dora has buckets of energy and loves to climb atop her outdoor kennel to get a better view so a very secure, high-fenced garden in an active home is essential. She loves walking on her lead and does so brilliantly. Dora will make a wonderful family pet as she has a bright, lively and loving personality. We recommend a home without young children as Dora is still learning her manners A meet and greet with any future canine companion is essential. Unfortunately we don’t know if she gets on with cats.

Dora is microchipped 972274200649351, has been vaccinated, spayed and has received the usual preventative flea/worm treatments.

Dora is currently in the care of Kildare and West Wicklow SPCA

Registration Number: IPT200001C

The Process

The adoption process at the ISPCA is designed to ensure the best possible match between animals and their prospective adopters.

Step One
Contact us

Contact the member society or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can complete an application form online, directly from the animal page.

Step Two
Get all the info

The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

Step Three
Meet him/her

Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.

Step Four
Show us around

A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen.

Step Five
Welcome your new best friend

When all the paperwork and checks are complete – you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
