About Coco

Coco is a 3 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She has a lovely nature and has never shown aggression towards any person. In fact, she thrives on human company so we are looking for a home with somebody there for the best part of the day as she does not do well if left on her own for too long. She has lived in a home with a savvy cat who was indifferent towards her but she would generally chase cats if given the opportunity. Ducks at her last home did not interest her at all. She does not like meeting small dogs that are strange to her. Coco is a strong dog so will need a capable adult owner in an active, cat & dog-free home.

Staffordshire Bull Terriers are a restricted breed in Ireland so when Coco is in a public place she must be : wearing a muzzle; kept on a short, strong lead (under 2m); with someone over the age of 16 who is capable of controlling her and be wearing a collar bearing the name and address of her owner.

Coco has been spayed, is microchipped 972274200613571, has been vaccinated and has received the usual preventative flea/worm treatments.

Coco is currently in the care of Kildare and West Wicklow SPCA

The Process

The adoption process at the ISPCA is designed to ensure the best possible match between animals and their prospective adopters.

Step One
Contact us

Contact the member society or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can complete an application form online, directly from the animal page.

Step Two
Get all the info

The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

Step Three
Meet him/her

Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.

Step Four
Show us around

A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen.

Step Five
Welcome your new best friend

When all the paperwork and checks are complete – you can take your new pet home! A follow up visit is usually carried out to make sure you and your new pet are happy!
