All 20 dogs were surrendered into the care of the NSPCA that same day.
The dogs were suffering from severe neglect with matted coats, ear and eye infections, significant fear and socialisation issues and overall poor physical and psychological wellbeing.
They were initially transported to NSPCA Wicklow and the local dog pound before being moved to NSPCA Dublin over the following two days where they all received veterinary treatment.
This is sadly just one example of the unnecessary suffering we continue to encounter.
We are relieved and grateful to share that all the dogs have since been rehomed. Many remain extremely nervous, and their emotional recovery will require time, patience, and compassion after the ordeal they endured.
